Bhakti Wiyata Health Sciences Institute (IIK Bhakta) has once again proven itself as an innovator in the field of health education by holding a spectacular event that broke two MURI (Indonesian World Record Museum) records in one day, namely “Most Dental Examination of Professors” and “Choir with Most Professor Members.” Through an extraordinary collaboration involving 55 professors in the D’Professor group, the event titled Science & Art Harmony presents a new concept that combines art and science on one stage.
For your information, D’Professor is a music band whose members are all professors in various fields. Not only do they have skills in teaching, writing, and research, they are also experts in the field of music. This group was founded on October 24, 2021, led by Prof. Dr. dr. Widodo Ario Kentjono, Sp.THT.KL, Subsp.Onk.
These professors are known to actively perform and create songs with various themes. Starting from social, educational, and moral themes. Some of the songs they have created, such as Pamer Putu and Airlanggaku.
On Saturday (11-30-2024) morning, the event began with a dental and oral health examination by dozens consisting of general dentists and specialist dentists from the IIK Bhakta Faculty of Dentistry at the Bhakti Wiyata Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM Bhakta) to 55 professors simultaneously.
The examination using 110 modern dental units was witnessed directly by MURI representatives who were present at the location. This record is one of the real proofs of IIK Bhakta's contribution to Indonesian health.
After the dental and oral examination, for the first time in history, 55 professors will unite on stage to deliver a scientific oration combined with a musical performance.
The concert captivated the audience present at the IIK Bhakta Auditorium. By performing songs entitled Ayah Bunda, S’lalu Ada, and Optimis, they performed in a magnificent choir by the largest number of professors. This recorded a MURI record as “The Most Professor Choir in Indonesia.”
This MURI record-breaking event was closed with a performance by guest star David Koeswoyo. The musician and son of Yon Koeswoyo (one of the members of the Koes Plus music group) enlivened the atmosphere in a dinner party by performing several of his favorite songs at the Graha Bhakta Hall, IIK Bhakta Campus.
MURI representatives expressed their admiration for the innovation held by IIK Bhakta and D’Professor. “This is an achievement that is not only inspiring, but also a new milestone in the world of Indonesian education and health,” said the MURI representative.
The presence of 55 professors at the IIK Bhakta Campus was not only to break the record, but also a moment to see the development of the best health institute in Kediri. The professors expressed their admiration for the facilities and educational programs at IIK Bhakta. “IIK Bhakta has become a model of educational institution that combines innovation, creativity, and community service,” said Prof. Ario.
Rector of IIK Bhakta Prof. Dr. apt. Muhamad Zainuddin stated, “We are proud of this achievement. IIK Bhakta and RSGM are a real manifestation of our dedication to supporting public health while providing the best practical experience for academics.”
