Volunteers of IIK Bhakta consisting of lecturers and students take part in the accelerated vaccination program in the city of Kediri. The program, called the vaccine attack, targets students in the largest Islamic boarding school in Kediri, namely the Lirboyo Islamic boarding school.Kodim 0809 as the coordinator of this program involved instruments from various universities in the city of Kediri, including IIK Bhakta volunteers. IIK Bhakta sent 4 lecturers and 25 students to join other volunteers in making this activity a success.Based on data confirmed by the board of directors, at least 17,418 students will be vaccinated in this program. Considering the large number of vaccination targets, the committee is targeting 2000 students per day, so the activity is estimated to be completed in the next 9 days. The location of the vaccine implementation is in front of the Rusunawa building, the Lirboyo Islamic boarding school.The type of vaccine given in this program is the first dose of Sinovac vaccine. Since the last few months, the Covid vaccination program has been intensively carried out in various cities in Indonesia.It is hoped that with the increasing number of people who have been vaccinated, there will be "herd immunity". Herd Immunity is where a population can be protected from certain viruses if a threshold of immunization coverage has been reached.
