This EXCELLENT Accreditation marks an important milestone for IIK Bhakta to leap forward, becoming a university that excels not only nationally, but is also recognized globally.
The on-site assessment took place offline at the campus and was attended by the BAN-PT assessor team.
Graduates of IIK Bhakta are now serving as professional healthcare providers across Indonesia and internationally, contributing their expertise in diverse healthcare institutions.
The assessor team visited the exhibition booth at IIK Bhakta to gain deeper insights into the institution.
Institut Ilmu Kesehatan Bhakti Wiyata (IIK Bhakta), one of the leading health-focused universities in Indonesia, proudly marks a historic achievement as the first health institute in East Java to receive an EXCELLENT Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
This milestone is officially stated in Decree No. 2309/SK/BAN-PT/Ak/PT/VI/2025, issued on June 4, 2025.
IIK Bhakta has shown deep commitment to fulfilling all assessment criteria set by BAN-PT. These include vision and mission, institutional goals and strategy, infrastructure, education quality, research output, and community service.
The recognition represents a new chapter in the journey of IIK Bhakta, which for over four decades has consistently produced competent health professionals. More than a badge of quality, the EXCELLENT accreditation reflects IIK Bhakta’s long-term dedication to providing higher education that meets both national and international standards.
Rector of IIK Bhakta, Prof. Dr. apt. Muhamad Zainuddin, expressed gratitude for the EXCELLENT accreditation and emphasized the collective effort behind this success:
“We are deeply thankful for the trust shown by BAN-PT in granting us the EXCELLENT status. This is the result of the unwavering dedication of our faculty, administrative staff, and students. It motivates us to continuously improve our educational services and produce highly qualified graduates.”
IIK Bhakta has been heavily investing in campus infrastructure, laboratories, and technology-based learning systems. One major development is the ongoing construction of the Cipto Utomo Building, envisioned to be a modern educational landmark in Kediri. The four-story facility is part of the university’s effort to improve the quality of health education and services.
The campus is also equipped with 63 state-of-the-art health laboratories, a teaching hospital, and an integrated academic information system that simplifies all learning and administrative processes.
A recipient of the 2021 SNI Award, IIK Bhakta actively collaborates with educational institutions, hospitals, and health industries both domestically and internationally. Students have access to student exchange programs, clinical internships at partner hospitals, and opportunities for international research collaboration.
With 23 study programs ranging from Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, Medical Laboratory Technology, Physiotherapy, to postgraduate programs, IIK Bhakta remains a top destination for aspiring health professionals.
Its graduates have gone on to work in hospitals, clinics, government institutions, research centers, pharmaceutical companies, and educational sectors across Indonesia—and abroad.
“With this EXCELLENT Accreditation, IIK Bhakta graduates now have greater opportunities to secure employment in both national and international healthcare institutions,” said Prof. Zainuddin.
The accreditation also enhances alumni competitiveness and opens broader access to scholarships, research grants, and community service funding from organizations such as LPDP, Kemendikbudristek, and international bodies. It provides greater opportunities for lecturers and staff to enhance their competencies and performance.
Furthermore, EXCELLENT Accreditation strengthens the university’s position for international cooperation in areas such as student exchange, research, and curriculum development. It lays a solid foundation for achieving global recognitions such as AUN-QA, ISO certifications, and QS Rankings.
Prof. Zainuddin concluded that the accreditation is a significant milestone, but not the final goal. Instead, it serves as a launching point for IIK Bhakta to advance toward becoming a globally recognized health university.
Guided by its PLUS culture (Professionalism, Learning, Unity, and Service), IIK Bhakta will continue to strengthen its research, health technology innovation, and real contributions to society through the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
