Since its establishment in 2005, IIK Bhakti Wiyata has recorded numerous significant achievements. Over the past two decades, the institution has grown rapidly from a local educational body into a nationally recognized health university, and is now beginning to gain recognition on the international stage.
In his address at the 20th Anniversary Open Senate Session, the Rector of IIK Bhakti Wiyata, Prof. Dr. Apt. Muhamad Zainuddin, emphasized that the journey of 20 years is not merely a number, but a historic milestone full of meaning, on Saturday (27/09/2025).
“This two-decade journey is a momentum to reflect upon our dedication and service in the field of health education, as well as a new starting point towards the global stage. The spirit we carry is the spirit of perseverance where students, lecturers, and all elements of the university must continue to excel and innovate for the advancement of the nation and the world,” he stated.
The chosen theme for the 20th Anniversary reflects the courage and determination to move forward. IIK Bhakti Wiyata affirms its position as an institution of health education that not only produces competent graduates but is also prepared to face the dynamics of globalization and the rapid development of modern science.
This theme also serves as a call for the entire academic community to continuously develop themselves:
Students are encouraged to be actively involved in research, competitions, and international academic exchanges.
Lecturers and researchers are challenged to produce innovative research with tangible benefits for society.
The institution is committed to expanding international collaborations in education, research, and community service.
The Open Senate Session marked the culmination of a series of 20th Anniversary celebrations that had been held earlier, including international seminars, community service programs, academic and non-academic competitions, as well as student arts and sports festivals.
The highlight of the celebration was symbolized by the striking of the gong, marking the opening of a new chapter in IIK Bhakti Wiyata’s journey into the next two decades. The event also featured a scientific oration addressing the challenges and opportunities for healthcare professionals in the era of globalization, student cultural performances, and the presentation of awards to outstanding lecturers, deans, and students.
Carrying the theme “Ready to Enter the Global Stage”, IIK Bhakti Wiyata reinforces its commitment not to stop at the milestone of two decades. Its forward-looking vision is to strengthen its position as a World-Class Health Education Institution, producing graduates who are not only ready to contribute domestically but also capable of competing internationally.
