IIK Bhakta signed an online Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Itoman Shangrila Nursing Home Japan, Tuesday (18/04/2023).The Bhakti Wiyata Institute of Health Sciences (IIK Bhakta) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Itoman Shangrila Nursing Home Japan on Tuesday (18/04/2023) online via Zoom Meeting.In signing the MoU, IIK Bhakta and Itoman Shangrila Nursing Home Japan agreed to cooperate in training students from IIK Bhakta to learn to care for the elderly in Okinawa, Japan. This collaboration discusses the training of IIK Bhakta students to carry out internships at Itoman Shargrila Nursing Home Okinawa Japan.Semester 6 students from Physiotherapy, Midwifery and Nursing Study Program IIK Bhakta are eligible to join this program to become caregivers (elderly nurses) in Japan. They also received material on learning Japanese language and culture.Christina Dewi, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., as Dean of the Faculty of Health IIK Bhakta, explained that the reason for choosing Japan was because the demand for elderly nurse apprentices to Japan was very high.IIK Bhakta provides opportunities for its students to go international, gain experience and insight into work culture (elderly nursing) in Japan and other nursing knowledge in Okinawa, Japan."After studying for 6 months in Japan, students are required to return to complete their studies at IIK Bhakta. And after graduation, they have a wide opportunity to return to Japan," he explained.
