The Institute of Health Sciences Bhakti Wiyata (IIK Bhakta) once again takes a significant step in its commitment to community service through the implementation of the Community Service Program (KKN) 2025. A total of 623 students have officially been deployed to carry out the program across all villages in Wates District, Kediri Regency, from August 11 to 30, 2025.
Carrying the theme “Realizing an Impactful Campus in Strengthening Community Self-Reliance – EMAS 3.0”, this year’s KKN is expected to serve as a platform for students to apply their knowledge while creating a tangible bridge between the academic world and village communities.
This KKN program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have gained throughout their studies. Over the course of 21 days, students will directly engage in various initiatives focused on improving the quality of life in rural communities. These programs include health education, community empowerment, environmental innovation, and strengthening local economic potential.
Through this initiative, IIK Bhakta reaffirms its commitment as an impactful university, one that not only provides academic education but also plays a role as an agent of change within society.
The ceremonial release of KKN participants was solemn and meaningful, marked by two symbolic moments:
The handover of a mango tree – symbolizing growth, sustainability, and the hope that the seeds planted by students in the villages will bear fruitful outcomes in the future.
The pinning of KKN participant cards – representing the students’ readiness to serve, contribute, and present real solutions within the community
These symbols are expected to inspire students to uphold values of responsibility, sustainability, and dedication throughout their community service journey.
KKN is not merely an academic requirement, but also a life-learning experience filled with meaning. By directly interacting with village communities, students are expected to develop empathy, leadership, and collaborative skills across various fields.
In his remarks, the Rector of IIK Bhakta emphasized that the small steps taken by students today will become part of a greater impact for the nation’s future. Community self-reliance, strengthened through innovation and student contributions, is anticipated to serve as an inspiration for future generations.
May this KKN journey become a meaningful experience, a sustainable contribution, and a true inspiration for the future.
